RetirementAfter many years of blacksmithing to make my living, I have decided to cease blacksmithing for a living and pass the Forged in Canada hammer onto a new owner based in Petawawa, ON. The new owner has grand plans to further move Forged in Canada forward.
I have had the privilege to make a living doing something I love to do. It has been an interesting and physically demanding career meeting many interesting people and doing many interesting projects. The irony is that I will now transition into blacksmithing as a hobby. I will actually have the opportunity to make stuff I want for myself rather than others. You many even see me at some fairs still. I will be turning my attention to wood turning from this point forward. It's fresh and enjoyable - also a lot easier on the body!
